The Association was born in Rome in 1949 at the wish of the Fédérale Morale Ente; Its statute is approved by the Ministry of Education, which, expecting the highly moral and educational purposes, with a special circular on April 12, 1949 addressed to all the directors of the Italian Music Institutes, invites to give the best of collaboration and dissemination to the newborn Association .. is not for profit, and since its inception, has had and has, as a main objective, the spread of music knowledge by supporting Music Education and, at times, replacing it in those lost reality where it does not exist.
