Dante Italian Society, Mazzoni Room, Via Arte della Lana, Orsanmichele. Since 1903, the seat of the Società Dantesca Italiana has been the prestigious Palagio dell'Arte della Lana, located next to the church of Orsanmichele, in the historic center of Florence. The first building of the building dates back to 1308, probably built on the ashes of a previous aristocratic building destroyed by fire, and wanted by the powerful guild of the Arte della Lana who, given the important social and economic role it played in Florence, had the need for a new representative office for the Consuls, for the Council and for all the other "officers".
